OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF THE BIOREFINERY COMPLEX LOGO

Serdang, 15 February 2025 – The Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Biorefinery Complex has officially launched its new logo, which now serves as the official identity of the Biorefinery Complex. The launch, officiated by the Head of the Biorefinery Complex, marks an important step in strengthening the image and strategic direction of this research centre.

The new logo was designed by two talented postgraduate students, Tan Pei Qin and Izzati Sabri, who captured the core values of biomass and biorefinery research through a meaningful combination of color and design elements. The grey color represents wisdom, precision and professionalism, which are fundamental qualities for researchers, while the green color symbolizes sustainability, green research and innovations for a better future. The building outline was inspired by the actual structure of the Biorefinery Complex, making it a unique and easily recognizable symbol.
